A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make Friday night's Quiz Night such a huge success. It was a great community event with staff, students and parents all coming together for quizzy fun, great food and one of the biggest raffle draws any of us have ever seen. And to top it all off, not only did everyone have a great time, but raised loads and loads of money too. All of this will go directly towards building the orphanage! How great, that we can have so much fun and raise so much money for charity too! All in all, we                                                           raised a whopping

                             87,113 RMB!

We have been able to send our first instalment of money to Peace and Golden! They will use it to buy 250 pieces of good timber. We are in luck as it is prepared close to their home so we do not need to pay extra transport costs. We will also get final architectural plans drawn up by the engineer and architect team so we can start to prepare the foundations ahead of our team's arrival in June. We will post photos once we have them! 

In our initial fundraising drive we're up to RMB 40,000, so nearly a fifth of the way there. A huge thank you to all of you who have supported the project already!

And of course there are plenty more opportunities on the horizon to get involved in...
